Offer Ideation

Disclaimer: Your offer in theory is going to look a lot different from your offer in practice. It is going to grow and change alongside you and your brand.

But at the start, follow this ideation process to ensure that there are questions when it comes to the foundation of your offer.

STEP ONE: Identifying your ICP

ICP is ideal customer profile. You need to answer these questions and know them like the back of your hand. Luckily for you we built out your dream avatar, which is a great place to start.

(the journal returns) → write down these questions and answer them in detail:

  1. What can you talk for hours about?

This goes back to the walk around test. You need to offer something you like doing, the goal is to help others above all else. If you are just in it for the money, the money will not come.

  2. What words or phrases does your ICP relate to?

  3. What is the core problem that wants to be solved?

3 and 4 are like the big brothers to your keywords list. You need to know what your ICP wants to hear about their biggest struggles in life.

When I was a content coach the BIGGEST pain points were views, retention, and follower growth. This helped me curate my offer to solve those pains and we were able to help support a lot of fantastic creators.

  4. What transformation is being provided?

An “offer” is something that offers a certain outcome or dream result. You need to know what clients dream result is in order to curate everything to that:

I help niche hit specific outcome in time period without biggest pain/fear

Example: I help business owners hit 60-100k per month in 60 days without being on calls or answering DMs all day

Also, I know you might have the urge to help people with their content now that you know so much about it but: Not everyone need’s to just be a content coach, what other content-related jobs or services can you think of to stand out?

Consider editing, UGC, strategy, digital products, courses, etc.

STEP TWO: Building it out

Now once you know what this sentence is for you:

I help niche hit specific outcome in time period without biggest pain/fear

→ you need to figure out all the problems that you’re going to face ahead of time.

1. List out all perceived problems with YOUR CURRENT OFFER and answer them

  • “We might hire a bad content manager”

    • I have been in the content space for 2 years and have a huge pipeline of people wanting to work with me

  • “Losing control over my account”

    • We always ask for permission before we continue, every step of the way

2. Next we want to list out 5 main deliverables your core offer provides

These are the deliverable that fix your ICP’s core pains. Consider what your service looks like:

  1. What does your program entail?

  2. How do you guide people to their dream results?

  3. How do you ensure they stay on track?

  4. What is the best way to give them the information they need to succeed?

  5. How do they know if it’s working?

Example deliverables for a fitness offer

  1. Training Program Design

    1. Deliverable: A personalized or standardized workout plan

Purpose: Give members a clear structure based on their goals (fat loss, muscle gain, performance, etc.)

Examples: 12-week strength & conditioning plan, custom split with exercise tutorials, progress tracking sheets or app access

  2. Nutrition Guidance

    1. Deliverable: Nutrition plan or macro breakdown

Purpose: Support physical results with proper diet alignment

Examples: Meal plans, grocery lists, or recipes; calorie/macro calculator; nutrition education resources

  3. Coaching & Accountability

    1. Deliverable: Access to a coach, group chat, or check-in system

Purpose: Increase adherence and motivation through ongoing support

Examples: Weekly check-in calls or forms, progress photos and measurement reviews, private accountability group (Discord, WhatsApp, etc.)

  4. Education & Community

    1. Deliverable: Knowledge and network beyond workouts

Purpose: Help clients understand the “why” and stay inspired

Examples: Access to workshops or webinars, private member community, educational content on habits, recovery, mindset

  5. Progress Tracking & Results System

    1. Deliverable: Tools to measure and visualize progress

Purpose: Make results tangible and create client testimonials

Examples: Progress dashboards or tracking apps, before/after photos and stat comparisons, performance milestone badges or rewards.

A lot of these deliverables are applicable outside this example.

Accountability is a big thing for a transformation centric offer. People want someone who is going to steer them to their goal.

This is also were a community helps. This can be a community of clients to network with, etc.

Systems play a massive role in customer success as well.

The more fool-proof systems you have, the better client results you get.

The better client results you get, the happier customers are.

The better reputation your offer has, the more everyone wins.

3. Lastly, what could you add that would 10x your offers current price but not 10x the expense to fullfill?

This is how you make your offer a grand slam. Ask yourself:

  1. What can you automate for you clients to make everything as easy as possible for them?

  2. What software can you build to support your offer’s fullfillment?

  3. Can you pair them with team members

  4. Can you run ads for your clients to make acquisition easy for them?

STEP THREE: Offer quality check

Once you’ve built out your offer, run through this checklist to make sure it’s positioned well as you move onto the next phases.

  • Does my offer solve extreme pain for my ICP?

If it doesn’t, research more pains within your desired market and find the solutions you can implement into your offer.

  • Does my ICP have significant purchasing power (sell to people with money)

  • Is my offer in an easy niche to target?

  • Is my offer in a growing market?

Due to content, most niches are easy to reach. However, don’t want to have too niche of an offer so that it’s only applicable to a small group of people — make sure there are people who need what you have to offer.

IMPORTANT: Determining ICP Relevancy

Do discovery interviews with people in the industry to understand them. Ask open ended questions to find their pain points and dream results.

Ask them: “If I waved a magic wand and fixed one thing in your business what would it be?”

If you are a beginner and have no results, ask to coach them for free in a beta program exchange for a testimonial

After you’ve done ample market research you move into the beta offer stage.

This is where you test your full offer with 5-10 people in exchange for more testimonial

For me it was my “Inner Circle,” my free cohort where I coached over 250+ creators on how to create content.

Make a note of every question asked and after 2-3 months find which ones have been asked the most and use that as a sample group to start building a curriculum from.

General setup guidelines:

  1. Weekly group calls with 1:1 Telegram support (or desired platform)

  2. Community hosted on Discord (it’s free)

  3. 15-30 minutes of presented theory and 15-30 minutes of Q&A

  4. Participants who join need to sign a contract that requires them to interact in the community

STEP FOUR: Creating your Unique Mechanism

Unique mechanisms uniquely position your offer even if it’s similar to something other people are already selling.

Example → Calling your offer “freelance brand scaling” and its just growth operating coaching

It’s better than saying Growth Operating because everyone already knows about that.

It creates authority within your niche and gives you an angle on sales calls.

This “fancy naming process” also makes your offer feel innovative and something that YOU created & discovered.

Feel free to use any of these as a template, mix and match the aspects you like:

Creativity here is KEY.

  • Organic Content Accelerator → Content Agency

  • Ghost Grow → Faceless Social Media Coaching

  • The Rebuild Method → Fitness

  • Metabolic Prime → Fitness

  • Accountability Loop → Fitness

  • Hybrid Training Model → Fitness

  • Stress Adaptive Protocol → Fitness

  • Authority Flywheel → Personal Brand / Content

  • Knowledge Extraction Framework → Info Product

  • Client Cloning System → Agency

  • Storyline Selling → Personal Brand / Coaching

  • Identity Reframe → Coaching

  • Momentum Mapping → Coaching / Productivity

  • Predictive Workflow Engine → SaaS

  • Social Signal → Content Agency / Personal Brand

  • The 7-Day MVP → Info Product / SaaS

STEP FIVE: Branding your offer

All you need is a business name, logo, and domain.

Have you business name related to your offer in some way and make it related to your unique mechanism or offer in some way.

A good way to test out your business name is by saying “Im building ___.” If it sounds right (or cool) it’s probably good enough.

For the logo, lean towards simplicity. It will most likely come to you at a random time.

And here are my reccomended domain hosting sites:

GODADDY

NAMECHEAP

HOSTINGER

In terms of legal entity formation when starting out, your best bet is to create an LLC that acts as a parent company. Odds are that your going to switch up your offer and name as you grow so tying yourself down early is just more paperwork.
