Expectations

Instagram will be our main focus as it is THE fastest predictable way to go from complete beginner to monetizing your content.

BUT, if your going to spend 4-6 hours on a video anyways might as well give it as many eyes as possible.

In the long term we’ll dive into YouTube as it will become the main vehicle for what your trying to achieve but is not as beginner friendly.

TikTok is mainly for testing and off-the-cuff low effort videos, the format we’ll be focusing on will almost always perform better on the previously mentioned platforms.

However, a good rule of thumb is that if an early video of your goes viral on TikTok but not Instagram, it means it’s solid and should be uploaded as a Trial Reel when you get access to that feature. (see example)

Original video > Flopped

Original video on TikTok > 24x IG views

Trial Reel > 235k views and 4k follows

This was also do to the audience matching on my account, more on that in: Audience Matching

If you don’t have an Instagram, Youtube, or TikTok:

  1. INSTAGRAM (will prompt you to create)

  2. YOUTUBE (use gmail account in top right)

  3. TIKTOK (top right will prompt you to login > create account)
